A nine-year-old miss successful Thompson, Man., was saved from an attempted robbery earlier this week by a bystander who chased the would-be robber away, constabulary say.
A 22-year-old pistillate allegedly approached the girl on Thompson Drive astatine astir 4 p.m. connected Wednesday. The pistillate asked the nine-year-old, who was connected a bicycle astatine the time, for a container of nutrient she was carrying.
A bystander intervened, chased the pistillate away and took the miss to safety, according to an RCMP quality merchandise connected Thursday. The miss sustained insignificant injuries but didn't necessitate contiguous aesculapian attention.
Mounties managed to way down the fishy based connected descriptions provided by the miss and bystander.
The pistillate has been charged with robbery, causing a disturbance and two counts of resisting arrest, RCMP said. She remains successful custody.
The probe continues.
