Woman, 28, arrested after crash with parked vehicle in downtown Winnipeg

A Winnipeg pistillate is facing a fig of charges, including assaulting a constabulary officer, pursuing a rollover and collision with a parked vehicle.

Winnipeg constabulary were called to a collision astatine astir 3:10 a.m. connected Sunday astatine Garry Street adjacent Broadway Avenue, according to a Monday quality release.

Officers recovered a 2018 Chevrolet Cruze connected its roof, and constabulary belive it crashed with a parked conveyance earlier rolling over. Both vehicles sustained damage.

Emergency crews assessed the 28-year-old operator and an 18-year-old passenger who were successful the rolled-over Cruze. After some were medically cleared, officers arrested the woman, who was driving, based "on observed signs of intoxication," constabulary said. 

While being searched astatine constabulary headquarters, constabulary said she became combative and assaulted the processing officer, who was injured successful the little portion of his body, but didn't necessitate aesculapian attention.

The woman has been charged with aggregate offences, including assaulting a constabulary officer, operating portion impaired and possession of a substance for the intent of trafficking. 

She has been released connected a committedness to look successful court.
