Fire crews responded to the occurrence burning adjacent Ocean Pond, astir 18 kilometres eastbound of Whitbourne. The occurrence was archetypal reported conscionable aft 2 p.m. NT. Crews were using one pump presumption to propulsion backmost the blaze.

Motty said the occurrence is burning adjacent to a Newfoundland Power transmission line, but it was deemed nether power astir 5 p.m.
