Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said they person charged a 17-year-old with second-degree execution successful transportation with a "suspicious death" in Pikangikum First Nation, Ont. past Thursday. 

Police responded to a call on March 27 adjacent Airport Road in Pikangikum First Nation for a man in aesculapian distress who was pronounced deceased astatine the scene, said OPP successful a quality release.

The deceased is from Pikangikum First Nation.  

The distant Ojibwe assemblage is located astir 500 kilometres northwest of Thunder Bay, Ont. successful Treaty 5. It has a colonisation of astir 3,300 people.

OPP said a 17-year-old has been arrested and charged with Second Degree Murder. The accused cannot beryllium named nether the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
