Sask. police watchdog investigating in-custody death at Melfort RCMP detachment

Saskatchewan's Serious Incident Response Team (SIRT) is investigating the decease of a 44-year-old antheral who was in police custody astatine Melfort's RCMP detachment.

According to the RCMP, officers responded at astir 9:45 a.m. CST on May 6 to reports of a antheral disturbing the bid astatine a location connected Bemister Avenue West successful Melfort, which is astir 150 kilometres northeast of Saskatoon. They recovered a 44-year-old man they accidental had breached the model astatine the home.
