Police were called to a two-vehicle collision astatine the intersection of highways 83 and 257 successful the agrarian municipality of Wallace-Woodworth, astatine the southwest country of Virden, astir 5:30 p.m. Monday, RCMP said successful a quality merchandise connected Tuesday.

Officers recovered a heavy damaged SUV and a motortruck lying connected its broadside farther down Highway 83, constabulary said.

The SUV, which had 4 radical inside, is believed to person stopped astatine a halt motion arsenic it neared the highway but past continued crossed and was struck by the motortruck connected the rear driver's side, constabulary said.

A Quebec woman, 68, was pronounced dormant astatine the tract of the crash. The SUV driver, a 45-year-old pistillate from Saskatchewan, and 2 different passengers from Quebec were each taken to infirmary and stay successful unchangeable condition, constabulary said.
