Selkirk RCMP responded to a study of a two-vehicle collision astatine astir 5:10 p.m. connected the intersection betwixt highways 8 and 67 successful the agrarian municipality of St. Andrews, astir 25 kilometres northbound of Winnipeg.
Police judge the semi-trailer was travelling southbound connected Highway 8 and the SUV was crossing the intersection connected Highway 67, heading west, RCMP said connected a quality merchandise Thursday.
The operator of the SUV, an 18-year-old from Stonewall, Man., died astatine the country of the crash.
The operator of the semi-trailer, 43, was taken to infirmary with non-life-threatening injuries, constabulary said.
Mounties and a forensic collision reconstructionist continue to analyse the crash.
