Tabatha Bernard has been elected main of Lennox Island First Nation. 

Bernard won Saturday's predetermination with 177 votes, according to the authoritative count. Darcy Sark placed 2nd with 148 votes.

Bernard volition take over from Darlene Bernard, who announced successful April that she would not question re-election aft astir 2 decades successful leadership.

Darlene Bernard archetypal served arsenic main from 2001 to 2013, past returned to the relation six years ago. 

Voters besides elected one off-reserve councillor and 2 on-reserve councillors. 

Robbie Augustine was elected arsenic an off-reserve councillor with 171 votes. Kiara Labobe finished six votes behind.

Dennis Lewis and Kristin Lewis were elected arsenic on-reserve councillors with 194 and 160 votes, respectively. Richard Guimond placed 3rd successful the balloting with 153.
