Crown abandons appeal of former MLA Derek Fildebrandt's acquittals on threat charges

The Crown has abandoned its entreaty of erstwhile Alberta MLA Derek Fildebrandt's acquittals connected charges of uttering threats.

Fildebrandt was recovered not blameworthy successful November connected 4 counts of uttering threats against a radical of teenage boys. 

The Crown filed an appeal, asking a justice to overturn the acquittals and substitute convictions oregon bid a caller trial.

Appeal arguments were acceptable to beryllium heard successful April. 

Fildebrandt's lawyer, Alain Hepner, confirmed to CBC News that helium received a missive indicating the Crown has abandoned its appeal.
