A Calgary antheral is facing charges aft a collision connected Glenmore Trail successful December led to the decease of an 18-year-old passenger, constabulary said Wednesday.
Police were called to a determination connected eastbound Glenmore Trail S.W., westbound of Crowchild Trail, astir 9:45 p.m. connected Dec. 23, 2024.
A 2018 BMW driven by a 19-year-old antheral with 2 passengers, aged 18 and 21, near eastbound Glenmore and struck a crane sitting connected the close enarthrosis of the road.
"The operator of the BMW sustained superior injuries, the 18-year-old rider was transported to infirmary successful life-threatening information wherever helium aboriginal succumbed to his injuries, the 21-year-old rider had insignificant injuries and the crane relation was uninjured," constabulary said successful a release.
The 19-year-old Calgary driver, Kane Anignostis Burrows, is facing aggregate charges related to impairment, unsafe driving, and driving without a licence.
Burrows is scheduled to look successful tribunal connected April 11.
