The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) says officers intercepted 3 firearm suppressors astatine the airdrome successful 2022, past successful May 2023, CBSA and RCMP members executed hunt warrants astatine a residence and 2 vehicles in Nanaimo.

The CBSA says officers seized illicit drugs and aggregate firearms including 2 untraceable shade guns, a prohibited shotgun, a firearm with a suppressor and 2 non-restricted rifles.

It says they besides recovered drugs including 335 grams of cocaine and 119 grams of methamphetamine.

The bureau says it charged Cody Edward Ranger with aggregate firearm and cause possession charges past May.

It says Ranger pleaded blameworthy to 1 number of possession of drugs for the intent of trafficking and 2 counts of unauthorized possession of a loaded firearm in Nanaimo Provincial Court past Wednesday.
