Canada's judicial reappraisal committee says a Calgary justice who humiliated a pistillate during a tribunal proceeding was harsh and disrespectful.

The board's determination says Court of King's Bench Justice Earl Wilson admitted his code during a 2024 proceeding astir a restraining bid was hurtful and that helium is sorry.

A ailment to the Canadian Judicial Council says Wilson berated the woman, mimicked her dependable and said antagonistic things astir her and her ex-boyfriend's generation. 

The committee says Wilson told the pistillate to "get creative" with her beingness and "make something" of herself.

Wilson says helium allowed his frustrations with the exertion and the underlying behaviour of the antheral and the pistillate to power the mode helium addressed them. He says portion helium doesn't believe that helium mimicked the woman's speech, his code was hurtful and for that helium sincerely apologizes.

The committee says Wilson shouldn't beryllium removed from the seat but needs to behave himself and support civility and respect successful court.
