3 dead after 2 fatal collisions in southeastern Manitoba

Early Monday morning, a 22-year-old Steinbach man died aft a head-on collision successful the agrarian municipality of Hanover.

At astir 12:00 a.m. connected Monday, constabulary responded to a two-vehicle clang successful the country of Highway 12, astir 1 kilometre southbound of Highway 303, Steinbach RCMP said successful a Monday quality release. 

When constabulary arrived, they recovered 1 conveyance blocking some lanes of Highway 12. The operator inside, a 22-year-old antheral from Steinbach, was pronounced dormant astatine the scene, constabulary said.  

Police said the different conveyance was connected its broadside successful the ditch. That driver, a 20-year-old antheral from the agrarian municipality of De Salaberry, was taken to the infirmary successful captious information and has since been upgraded to stable. 

According to the release, Steinbach RCMP proceed to analyse the clang with assistance from the RCMP's transgression collision probe team.

Crash kills woman, 39, and girl, 11

Police said the minivan's driver, a 39-year-old woman, and an 11-year-old girl, who was 1 of the van's passengers, were pronounced dormant astatine the scene. A 10-year-old girl, who was besides successful the van, was taken to infirmary with insignificant injuries

The 72-year-old antheral who was driving the motortruck was assessed by paramedics, but didn't request to spell to hospital, constabulary said. 

Police said the archetypal probe recovered that the minivan was approaching from the north, and veered into the southbound lane arsenic the operator took a curve successful the roadworthy and crashed into the truck. 

Sprague RCMP said officials proceed to analyse alongside a forensic collision reconstructionist.
