11-year-old boy struck by CTrain as it arrives at Banff Trail Station

Calgary constabulary are questioning a CTrain driver after a collision involving an 11-year-old lad astatine a northwest presumption connected Thursday.

The kid was struck by the bid astatine astir 8:15 a.m. astatine the Banff Trail Station, constabulary said successful a release.

It's believed the lad was struck portion crossing successful a marked crosswalk arsenic the northbound CTrain entered the presumption portion the pedestrian barriers had not lowered. 

The lad suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital. 

The operator of the bid was taken into custody arsenic portion of the investigation, constabulary said. 

The Calgary Police Service's postulation portion is investigating the collision.
