The 2 men, ages 41 and 22, had launched a boat earlier that time from down the h2o works successful the First Nation, which is astir 130 kilometres northwest of Winnipeg.
Their vessel suffered a malfunction but due to the fact that of the precocious winds, the section occurrence section could not motorboat its own vessel to assist, RCMP said connected a quality merchandise Friday.
The Sandy Bay Fire Department contacted RCMP for help around 8 p.m. Thursday.
RCMP said the boaters were past seen astir 200 metres from the enactment southeast of Halls Beach, astir 10 kilometres distant from the h2o plant. Neither was wearing a life-jacket.
